Sasa Strunjas, MD

Bio

A graduate of the University of Sarajevo in Yugoslavia, Sasa Strunjas, MD, completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with additional certification in geriatric psychiatry.

Dr. Strunjas has more than 15 years of experience in mental and behavioral health. He most recently worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky, providing psychiatric consultations to outpatients and telehealth patients. He also speaks seven languages: English; Serbo-Croatian; German; Slovenian; Czech; Spanish; and French.

An expert in general and geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Stunjas proudly joins the highly skilled physicians and staff at Lexington Medical Specialists. The practice is dedicated to providing inpatient mental health services at Lexington Medical Center in addition to comprehensive care for infectious diseases.
